Over 150 guests attended The Spring Parents & Science Program—Science 101 for Parents: Or, 20 Years of the Genetic Revolution in One Hour—held at The Rockefeller University on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Distinguished Rockefeller scientist, Jeffrey M. Friedman, M.D., Ph.D., gave parents a primer on the basics and how scientific research has begun a whole new chapter in the field of genetics. A spirited discussion between the speaker and audience members followed.
