Celebrating Science Benefit 2013-02-13

Join us for a fascinating evening that will bring together world-class scientists, renowned child health care experts, and parents and grandparents interested in the most recent scientific advances revolutionizing our understanding of child and adolescent health.

This year’s benefit will focus on nutritional science, exploring why excess sugar consumption is a risk factor for disease in both children and adults. Robert Lustig, M.D., a distinguished pediatric scientist who trained at Rockefeller, will present his latest findings in a lecture titled “Darwin, Diet, Disease and Dollars: How the Sugar in Processed Foods Has Changed Society.”

The evening will begin with Dr. Lustig’s presentation at 6:30 p.m. A festive reception with laboratory tours will follow in the Greenberg Building at 8:00 p.m. Business Attire.
